Diary Entry

Dear Diary,
Trying to change something about yourself is a lot harder than I was led to believe. I have been working on having a better attitude but karma is testing me. Yesterday I ran some errands with my little sister. We went into a store that didn't have shopping carts and I can't walk very far without some kind of support, be it a cart, cane, walking stick or some one's arm. I was using my little sister's arm for support when a woman (she doesn't deserve to be called a lady) who was walking by, stopped and said, "Are you all gays?" At first I tried to be polite and just said that I have MS, but the blank look on her face irritated me so much I snapped, "I'm a cripple, you f*ckin ass hat!" My little sister was mortified and thought I could have handled it better. I think she got what she deserved. After I said that she ran off in shocked horror, whether it was because she encountered gays, or because I retorted so rudely, I do not know and I do not care. We have all seen people from every walk of life and every sexual orientation, but to stop and ask! Are you kidding me?! I don't regret my response, but my little sister says I have a tendency to kill the messenger, and she may be right. I hope that woman learned a good lesson yesterday. I hope if something like that happens to me again I will have the clarity of mind to say something a little less profane. Maybe something along the lines of "are you all a stupid tw*t?" Not sure what I could have said to not embarrass my little sister, but it seems that try as hard as I can, I am forever embarrassing her. When I was sick and she took me to the doctor, she was embarrassed that my socks didn't match -- she thought I would at least wear matching socks for the doctor. When we went to the DMV to switch her plates and the lady behind the counter was so rude that when we were leaving I told her thanks for being such a bitch about it, my little sister was horrified and ran out the door. I could go on, but why bore you, dear diary? I thought changing my attitude would be easier than this. Maybe I need to work on my outspokenness when irritated. I do have a tendency to kill the messenger. But when they are so rude about giving the message, can't I respond in kind? I have my work cut out for me.
Love,
BB

I really like the term "ass hat." I will have to try it out. My neighbor, who is 93 and STILL DRIVES, likes to park half way in front of our house so she can get a good panoramic view of the neighborhood (she has no driveway.) Doesn't matter that we have two of our own cars blocking our view. She takes about 10 minutes to pull forward, then back up, then pull forward again until the car is perfectly in front of my field of vision. Ass hat!

OMG I am laughing SO hard I'll have to compose myself before I can compose my comment! ROFLMAO. GOOD FOR YOU is all I can type. Reminds me of the time I was in San Francisco with my hearing dog. A friend and I were in a shop and I woman came up to me a proceeded to pet Valor (my dog). I politely asked her not to do that, as his vest CLEARLY stated he is a hearing dog and DO NOT PET. Her response, "You don't LOOK deaf". I automatically replied, "I'm sorry am I supposed to be drooling fo you can tell". My buddy Anita immediately stated laughing and the woman huffed off. Yr right...some people ARE ass wipes and don't deserve any less than they get.

Dear BB,

This is your diary here. Change is difficult, but change is coming (I hope). Anyways, I was laughing at the audacity of the woman's question - Are you all gays?

LOL. Who are you? Who is all? What are gays? Who is gay? Are you gay? Are you all? Are you you?

What does it matter?

Maybe you could hang a sign on your neck which says - BEWARE THE CRIPPLE - DO NOT APPROACH - WILL BITE THEN BARK - If you fail to read the warning signs, Cripple is not reasonable for the humiliating result of your stupidity.

So BB, would something like that help to ease the change will is coming? Anyways, give warning next time, I almost choked on the ink while laughing so hard at your tale. Your poor sister, so sensitive and all.

Sincerely,
Diary

LMAO, too funny. Personally, I like when people let it rip. I'm still waiting for somebody to come up to me and ask, "Are you gay?" hahahahaha In the fruit dept. hahahaha

I am so sorry that there are people out there that are that rude. Sadly, if if they experienced what you are going though, they wouldn't hold up half as well. I admire you for your perserverence and desire to change those things within yourself that your are not happy with. That in itself says alot about you. I continue to pray for you. Little steps....you will get where you want to be.

Seriously, is there something REALLY wrong with you? I mean, does your attitude interfere with your happiness or ability to function or maintain relationships? If you answer "yes" to any of those questions, I may have to kill you! (these are the questions asked of someone trying to determine if their drinking is a problem!)
